It is going to be quite a day for blogging about Hull Pottery. I have 11 (eleven) pieces for you to enjoy, even though put one up in my kitchen. If you can guess which one it is and want it, I will (happily) sell it to you.. think I may have a few others to take it's place. There are some very unique pieces today, so let's get started.
H094 is a Hull piece that is unmarked on the base, which was usual for samples and experimental pieces. This "specials" 7.5 inch high double bud or twin horn vase looks like it came from a Woodland mold with the heart leaves. It is a nice green color and is in excellent condition. It is trimmed in gold, and hand painted. It was produced in the 1950's. In the Hull Pottery Encyclopedia read pages 288, pg 296 and look at the vase on page 103, plate 115 for more information. H095 is a Woodland 8.5 inch high vase. It is incised with W-16-8 1/2" and is in excellent condition. H097 is a Unicorn vase marked with a circled 98 mold number. The Hull Pottery Encyclopedia identifies it as Animals and Novelties, on Page 162-3, Plate 113, Row 4, Item 2, circa 1952. H098 is a Hull Woodland 14" console bowl. It is marked with W-29 - 14" on the base. This piece has a chip and several blemishes. It can be identified on page 240, Plate 187, Row 4, Item 2 where in mint condition it was valued at $230- $275 in 2003. Please make an offer if you are interested in purchasing HO98. H099 is from the 1925, and is considered the early years line of the Hull Pottery Encyclopedia on page 54, Plate 18, Row 4, Item 3. This vase is 8 inches tall and is marked with 26 and a circled H on the base. In 2003, it was valued at $75- $125. |

H100 is a High White Gloss 8.75" Ewer, that was made in 1956. It has a Butterfly embossing and was called the Colonial pitcher vase in the original brochure. This is marked Hull USA '56 48-8 3/4" on the base. Mention H100 if you are interested in this piece |

H101 is a blue Serenage pedestal vase made in 1957. Serenade came in 24 different shapes. The solid color designs were made for chain stores. This piece is marked with a circled C 57 S-7. H102 is an 8.5 inch Wildflower vase incised with W-9-8 1/2". It is the Angel wing or leave handle vase, and can be identified on page 144, Plate 99, Row 4, Item 1, where it was valued at $190- $245 in 2003. http://realpriceguides.com/hull/wildflower.asp currently values it at $55-65. H104 is a pink/blue 9 inch Granada / Mardi Gras vase produced in 1938-1946. It is incised with 48- 9" on the base. H104 is called the Butterfly Cornucopia by Hull. It is marked by B12-10 1/2". It can be found on page 183, Plate 135, Row 4, Item 1 and page 184, Plate 136, Row 4, Item 3. H105 is NOT the item you will find in my kitchen. This is a Rainbow Coffee mug made in the 1960's. It is marked Ovenproof USA.
